The Desert at Sossusvlei, Namibia

I recently spent 3 days in the desert at Sossusvlei, Namibia with my wife and some friends. We arrived by small plane and I was able to take some photographs of the mountain ranges and desert as we flew over them. The desert in Namibia is a very beautiful and harsh place. The colours are magnificent, almost unbelievable. Surprisingly, there is quite a variety wild life there. We saw oryx, zebras, ostriches, hyenas, signs of porcupines and birds. The famous sand dunes there are stunning and unique. They form from sand blown in

from the Kalahari desert. On the day we were there, it became windy and a lot of sand was blown up in the air. I took some photos of trees in the sand storm through the window of our car, it was an eery feeling.
